Governor of the province of Kwara AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq called on the police to increase efforts to release six Kwara kidnapped along the express road to Abuja-Kaduna on their way to Kaduna state over the weekend.
“We call on the police and other security agencies to do everything possible to free these citizens as soon as possible.’ AbdulRazaq, spokesman Rafiu Ajakaye said in a statement,
“We call on the criminals behind the ugly movement to release our people immediately and unconditionally,” he said.
The governor called on the abductors to remain calm and said the government was in constant contact with security agencies regarding the development.
“Finally, we urge anyone with useful instructions on this development to report such information to the police or to the nearest government offices.”
