German midfielder, Ilkay Gundogan, has defended Chelsea’s Kai Havertz ahead of the Blues’ Premier League clash with West Brom on Saturday.
The former Bayern Leverkusen playmaker has failed to live up to Chelsea’s expectations since he joined the club from Bayern Leverkusen in a £62million deal last summer.

The Man City, Gundogan, said Havertz is a‘sensational qualities’ and will go on to make a ‘big statement’ in the Premier League after a tough debut season at Stamford Bridge.
“Kai is exceptionally good technically,” Gundogan told reporters ahead of Germany’s World Cup qualifier against North Macedonia on Wednesday night.
“I think it’s great that at his age, he had the courage to take the step abroad. He’s played a lot of good games for Chelsea, but it is normal for everything not to work out in the first season.
“He has sensational qualities and will make a big statement in the Premier League.
