A doctor, with the Federal Medical Center, Makurdi, Benue State, Ifegbike Kalu, on Friday, Harper on the possibility of transmitting COVID-19 sexually.
Dr Kalu said that it was possible to find COVID-19 in semen, hence the possibility of transmitting the virus sexually.
Chinese researchers have said the virus can last long in semen even after patients start to recover.
Affirming the research, Kalu said, “It is possible to get COVID-19 through secretion and respiratory secretion.
“Since the body produces other secretions like sperm, I think it is possible. I won’t be surprised if we start to see this. “
