Imo West Senator Rochas Okorocha urged the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, to accept the Supreme Court’s decision against him in a good fate.

Okorocha, who is the immediate governor of Imo State, said Atiku should “go with his brother to move the country forward”.

He said that the presidential tribunal and the Supreme Court had only ratified the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement from his special adviser on media, Sam Onwuemeodo, Okorocha insisted that available statistics prove that Buhari won the 2019 presidential election.

However, he greeted Atiku for bringing the outcome of the election to a logical conclusion, adding that his actions would help strengthen the country’s democracy.

The statement reads: “President Buhari won his election with the poll statistics, but the presidential tribunal and the Supreme Court only confirmed the victory.

“But what Atiku did was also good for our democracy, it helps to strengthen our democracy, but I urge him to work closely with his brother, the president, to move the nation forward.”
