The just confirmed Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, on Tuesday vowed to work assiduously to resolve all bickering among the PDP governors.

Tambuwal, in an interview with Pressmen in Abuja on Monday, said his administration would welcome all the governors on board to work for the progress and peace coexistence while keeping the party’s structures activated.

Some concerned issues in the party are not beyond us and we shall restore to the friendly situations those are having some issues with one another and also ensure that our party is efficiently positioned for the challenges ahead. “Of course, I can assure you that Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha is re-approaching the Supreme Court for a review of the last judgment on the Imo election and we are all ready to cast our support for him and back him as a party and as a Forum.

We are very optimistic that the Supreme Court will take a second look at the matter, there may be some change in its position. Said, Tambuwal

We are praying hard and making effort to get what has not been duly delivered in terms of justice in that matter and that it is addressed,”

Regarding security, Tambuwal said the governors elected on PDP’s platform would support security agencies in their respective states to ensure that peace and stability is achieved.
Tambuwal said insecurity has taken a new scope particularly in most parts of the North, noting that security issues should not be politicized. “So, we will continue in that regard and we will continue to support the federal government to come up with new ideas, new approach particularly when you talk about deploying technology and bringing more efficient hands to ensure that we reverse the trend,” he said.

Tambuwal will assume the position as the Chairman of PDP governors after governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa state whose tenure will come to an end in the next few days.
