There is no report on deaths from the virus in South Africa

South Africa’s total number of coronavirus infections extends to 38 on Saturday, from 24 a day earlier, the health ministry said. This takes the total number of coronavirus positive patients in South Africa to 38.

The global death toll is now more than 5,300, with more than 142,000 confirmed cases, according to the World Health Organization, which has declared the outbreak a “global pandemic

“This means that our numbers have increased by 14 from yesterday’s confirmed cases of 24,” the ministry said in a statement

More than 100 cases was recorded in 11 countries in Africa, according to the latest figures from the World Health Organization.

Egypt remains the nation with the most reported cases with 59, more than half of all confirmed cases on the continent.
